· Heat ghee in a kadhai, add the coconut and sauté for a minute continuously.
· Now add jaggery and cook on medium flame. Now the mixture turns from a light color to dark brown within few seconds.
· Add the cardamom powder and stir well.
· Now the mixture starts leave the sides of the pan.
· Transfer the mixer to a greased plate and use a spatula to flatten the mixture and allow it cool for 10 minutes.
· Garnish with dry fruits or nuts and cut the pieces to your desired shape.
· Delicious Thengai burfi is ready
